Iga Swiatek continues her perfect performance at the WTA Finals Fort Worth

Iga Swiatek continue her perfect performance at the WTA Finals Fort Worth after defeating Caroline Garcia by 2-0 (6:3, 6:2). The Polish tennis player, who is world’s number one, needed less than an hour and a half to achieve her second victory in the group stage of the competition and guarantee a place on the semi-finals.

The first set was running equal with exchange of a break for both player. However, in the 8th game Iga Swiatek broke her opponent again and closed the set at her serve from the 3rd set point.

In the second set, the Polish tennis player took an early break and kept the advantage by the very end, when took another break and closed the set by 6:2.

In the other match from the group, Daria Kasatkina defeated Cori “Coco” Gauff by 2-0 (7:6, 6:3). Thus, the American teenager loses chances to qualify for the semis of the tournament.

In the last match from the group stages, Iga Swiatek will face Cori “Coco” Gauff, while Caroline Garcia will play versus Daria Kasatkina.
