Iga Swiatek advanced to the quarter-finals of the US Open 2022

Iga Swiatek advanced to the quarter-finals of the US Open 2022 after defeating German tennis player Jule Niemeier by 2-1 (2:6, 6:4, 6:0). The match lasted almost two hours and a half and was one of the most dramatic in the fourth round.

The top-seeded Polish tennis player lost the first set after two breaks on her serve. However, she retuned in the second set and was unstoppable in the third to win the match.

Iga Swiatek had a 67% percentage of the first serve and made 19 winners and 31 unforced errors. However, her opponent, Jule Niemeier, made an impressive 44 errors, which seriously affected the result.

Iga Swiatek will face the 8th-seeded American Jessica Pegula in the quarter-finals.
