Hungarian athlete Krisztina Hoffer

Krisztina Hoffer is a Hungarian athlete, who completes in the triple jump. She is a 12-time national champion and one of the top athletes in the country.

Krisztina Hoffer was born on August 6, 1990. She started in athletics at an early age and showed great talent in the long and triple jump, although competing also in sprints, hurdles, and combined events.

Krisztina Hoffer made her national championship debut in 2009, finishing 5th in the triple jump at the Budapest Hungarian Championships, as well as 8th in the heptathlon at the Budapest Hungarian Combined Events Championships. Meanwhile, during the year, she earned the triple jump bronze at the Szombathely HUN-SLO-CZE U23 Match and the silver at the Budapest Honved International Meeting but also triumphed with the title at the Szekesfehervar Hungarian Junior Championships.

In 2010, Krisztina Hoffer won the triple jump gold at the Szekesfehervar Hungarian U23 Championships but did not earn an honor in the senior national championships, finishing 5th at the Budapest Hungarian Indoor Championships and 11th at the Debrecen Hungarian Championships. However, she earned the silver at the Celje SLO-CZE-HUN U23 Match with a personal best of 12.80m.

In 2011, Krisztina Hoffer won her first honors at the national championships, earning the triple jump silver at the Budapest Hungarian Indoor Championships and the bronze at the Szekszard Hungarian Championships. She made her international debut at the Ostrava European U23 Championships but remained 11th in the qualifications and did not qualify for the finals. Meanwhile, she earned the triple jump gold at the Nyiregyhaza Hungarian U23 Championships and improved her personal best to 12.95m.

Krisztina Hoffer won her first national title in 2012, triumphing in the triple jump at the Szekszard Hungarian Championships with a personal best of 13.25m. Meanwhile, during the season she earned the silver at the Hodonin CZE-HUN-SLO U23 Match and the gold at the Nyiregyhaza Hungarian U23 Championships and Gyor Ugrogala.

In 2013, Krisztina Hoffer earned another title at the Budapest Hungarian Championships, but also won the silver at the Budapest Hungarian Indoor Championships. She competed at the Dublin European Athletics Team Championships First League, where finished 8th in the final. Meanwhile, she earned the gold at the Budapest Open and the silver at the Geneve AtletiCAGenev, but also finished 13th at the prestigious Gyulai Istvan Memorial – Hungarian Athletics Grand Prix.

In 2014, Krisztina Hoffer proved her dominance in the triple jump in the country. She earned the gold at the Budapest Hungarian Indoor Championships and the Szekesfehervar Hungarian Championships. Krisztina Hoffer finished 11th at the Tallinn European Athletics Team Championships First League and earned the silver at the Bratislava ELAN Miting. Although reaching 13.17m at the Budapest City Championships, where won the gold, she was not able to improve her personal best during the season.

Krisztina Hoffer won her second indoor national title in 2015, triumphing at the Budapest Hungarian Indoor Championships, but remained second outdoors, earning the silver at the Szekesfehervar Hungarian Championships. She earned the silver at the Szekesfehervar Hungarian Team Championship Final and the gold at the Debrecen Hungarian Super League Final. During the season, she competed also in the long jump event, finishing 8th at the Budapest Hungarian Indoor Championships.

In 2016, Krisztina Hoffer won the triple jump titles at the Szekesfehervar Hungarian Championships and Budapest Hungarian Indoor Championship but also earned the gold at the Debrecen Kelet Kupa with 13.32m and latest during the season improved her personal best at the Szekesfehervar Hungarian Team Championships to 13.45m, which is her career highest result.

Krisztina Hoffer dominated the triple jump also in 2017, winning the national titles indoor and outdoor. She won the gold at the Amsterdam EAP Indoor, Palafrugell Meeting Internacional, and Budapest Open, but also finished 6th at the Tel Aviv European Athletics Team Championships Second League.

In 2018, the Hungarian athlete earned gold at the Budapest Hungarian Indoor Championships, while at the Szekesfehervar Hungarian Championships smashed the competition with a new personal best of 13.48m. Krisztina Hoffer earned the gold at the Veszprem Balaton Championships, Budapest Honved Cup, Budapest Hungarian Super League Final, and Szekesfehervar Hungarian Team Championships, as well as the silver at the Celle Ligure Meeting Arcobaleno.

In 2019, Krisztina Hoffer won the gold at the Budapest Hungarian Championships and also the Szekesfehervar Hungarian Team Championships, but also finished 10th at the Sandnes European Athletics Team Championships First League. She also earned the silver at the Budapest Open and Budapest Hungarian Super League Final.

Krisztina Hoffer lost her impetus in 2020, and the short season seriously affected her results. She won the bronze at the Budapest Hungarian Championships, Budapest Hungarian Super League Final, and Szekesfehervar Hungarian Team Championships, but finished 4th at the Budapest Hungarian Indoor Championships.

The two shorter seasons reflected in Krisztina Hoffer’s performance in 2021, as she missed the podium on both national championships for the first time in more than 10 years. She finished 9th in the Debrecen Hungarian Championships and her biggest achievement during the season was winning the silver at the Gyor Hungarian Team Championships.

In 2022, Krisztina Hoffer returned on the podium at the Budapest Hungarian Championships winning the bronze with 12.41m. She earned silver at the Debrecen Hungarian Team Championships, Budapest Open, and Magyar Csapatbajnoksag Elodonto – Nyugati Csoport.

In 2023, Krisztina Hoffer earned the silver at the 10. Atletikai Magyar Szuper Liga Donto and Atletikai Magyar Szuper Liga – 3. fordulo, but finished 4th at the Nyiregyhaza Hungarian Indoor Championships and 5th at the Budapest Hungarian Championships. Meanwhile, she earned the gold at the Videkbajnoksag.

Krisztina Hoffer returned to form at the beginning of 2024, winning the bronze at the Nyiregyhaza Hungarian Indoor Championships with 12.58m. She also won the gold at the regional Magyar Atletikai Szovetseg Fedettpalyas Versenye and the silver at the Budapest Fedettpalyas Bajnoksag.
