The Ethiopian won the event in a season-best of 4:16.16 min but fell nearly 3 sec off Genzebe Dibaba’s 2016 world record of 4:13.31 min.

Weronika Lizakowska (Poland) won the silver from the ORLEN Copernicus Cup one-mile race with 4:29.06 min, while
Adelle Tracey (Jamaica) went third with 4:30.17 min.

Ethiopians dominated at the women’s 3,000m, as Freweyni Hailu won with 8:46.92 min, while Ejgayehu Taye and Lemlem Hailu remained second and third, respectively.
