The basketball team of Gorzow took an easy win at home versus Torun with 97:56 (34:9, 21:20, 21:7, 21:20) in the 17th round of the Polish Energa Basket Liga Women. Thus, the basketball players of Gorzow continue to keep their good form recently, having already won six of their last seven games and are the current leader of the championship.
The match started with total domination of Gorzow, which took a lead of 22 points already in the half of the first quarter. During it, they gave only 9 points to their opponents. The second quarter was not much different, but the players of Dariusz Maciejewski slowed the pace and kept the difference. During the third quarter, despite of lower pace, the basketball ladies of Gorzow made another great part and increased their advantage, which secured them the victory in the match.
The most valuable player for the team of Gorzow was the American Stephanie Jones with 29 pts, 2 rebs, and 2 asts. Borislava Hristova added 22 pts, 5 rebs, and 5 asts, while Courtney Hurt scored 22 pts, 6 rebs and 5 asts.
