German wrestler Aline Rotter-Focken won the 76kg title at the Tokyo Olympics

German Aline Rotter-Focken won the 76kg title at the Tokyo Olympics wrestling tournament after defeating another gold medalist Adeline Gray (USA) by 7-3.

Aline Rotter-Focken became an absolutely deserved Olympic champion after beating all her main rivals in two days. She started with 2-1 against one of the most successful European women Vasilisa Marzaliuk (Belarus), and then defeated with 8-3 the champion of Asia for 2018 Zhou Qian (China).

In the semifinals, the German wrestler defeated Hiroe Minagawa (Japan) with 3-1, and in the decisive fight, the German definitely prevailed over number 1 in the scheme and five-time world champion Adeline Gray.

Aline Rotter-Focken also has a title and a full set of medals from world championships. She was second in the scheme in Tokyo.

Yasemin Adar (Turkey) and Zhou Qian (China) won both bronze medals.
