German tennis veteran Tatjana Maria won the ITF W60 Rome (Italy) tournament after a victory versus young American talent Alycia Parks. The German won by 2-1 (6:4, 4:6, 6:2) for almost two hours. This is her 15th singles title in the ITF Circuit, while she also has one title in the WTA tour.
Tatjana Maria won the first set by making 3 breaks again 2 of her opponent. however, the set was running equally by the 9th game, when the German player took her third break and won her service game, thus winning the set by 6:4.
In the second set, both players exchanged a break and won their service games by the very end. In the ninth game, Alycia Parks registered another break and won her service, which brought her the win with 6:4.
The third set, however, was for the German player, who registered 2 breaks and saved 2 break points, showing her experience and succeeded to win the match.
This is the 15th ITF title for the German tennis veteran Tatjana Maria. She also has one WTA title at WTA 250 Mallorca Open in 2018. In November 2017, she reached her best singles ranking of world No 46.
