Nicole Banecki is a German female footballer, who plays as a midfielder for the team SC Staaken 1919. She is a bronze medalist in the U20 World Cup in 2008, European U19 champion in 2007, as well as Bundesliga champion in 2011.
Nicole Banecki was born on September 3, 1988, in Berlin, Germany. She started playing football at SC Tegel when she was only 6 years old. Two years later, Banecki joined the Reinickendorfer Füchsen and then switched to MSV Normannia 08. At the age of 16, she was signed by the second-division tennis club Borussia Berlin.
For the 2006/2007 season, Nicole Banecki signed with the Bundesliga club Bayern Munich at the age of 16 due to many strong performances. In 2009, she finished second in the championship with Bayern on the last day of the game.
Shortly before the start of the game in the 4-1 home win against Hamburger SV on May 28, 2012 (22nd matchday), Nicole Banecki was released from the club. For Bayern Munich, she played 91 matches and scored 11 goals.
She signed a two-year contract with FCR 2001 Duisburg in July 2012. She made her debut for Duisburg on September 23, 2012, in the 4-0 defeat at home to 1. FFC Turbine Potsdam.
After the club had filed for bankruptcy in January 2013, she left Duisburg for Switzerland six months later and signed with the A national league club SC Kriens. She made her debut on March 9, 2013 (matchday 16) in a 3-0 home win against FC Thun alongside her former Bayern Munich team-mate Sarah Puntigam and scored her first goal in that game to make it 2-0. A week later, she scored three in a 3-0 away win against FC Yverdon Feminin.
On April 18, 2014, Nicole Banecki returned to the German Bundesliga signing with SC Freiburg along with Sarah Puntigam. She signed a two-year contract in Freiburg, until June 30, 2016. A knee injury in preparation put her out of action the entire time. After recovering, she moved to FC Basel for the 2017/2018 season. Shortly after the start of the 2019/2020 season, Nicole Banecki moved to the German Bundesliga club Bayer 04 Leverkusen, with whom she signed a two-year contract until June 30, 2021.
In 2021, Nicole Banecki signed with SC Staaken 1919.
At the international level, Nicole Banecki played in the national jersey for the U15, U17, U19, U20, and U23 teams before winning in Albufeira on March 7, 2008 – as part of the Algarve Cup – at the 3-0 win over Finland made her senior debut. The efforts of the Cameroonian association for her came to an end.
From July 18 to 29, 2007, she took part in Iceland at the U19 European Championship and won the group, the 4-2 semi-final victory after extra time over France and the 2-0 victory after extra time over selection England’s European title in the final.
She also took part in the U-20 World Cup from November 20 to December 7, 2008, finishing runners-up in the group and then beating Brazil 3-2 in the quarter-finals to advance to the semi-finals, which they lost 1-0 to the United States. As a loser, she won the third-place match with a 5-3 win over France.
