Franziska Schuster is a German track and field athlete, who competes in 100m hurdles. She is a national champion and one of the top athletics talents in the country.
Franziska Schuster was born on February 22, 2002. She started in athletics as a kid and won several junior titles and local events.
Franziska Schuster started her competitive career in 2015, winning the 100m bronze at the Remscheid U16 Meeting. Two years later, she made her debut at the junior championships, finishing 5th in 100m at the Bremen German U16 Championships. Meanwhile, she earned the 100m gold at the Bochum-Wattenscheid Regional U20 Championships and 60m gold at the Rhede U16 Indoor Meeting.
In 2018, Franziska Schuster started the season by winning the 60m and 60m hurdles silver medals at the Leverkusen Regional U18 Indoor Championships, as well as the 200m gold at the Dortmund Regional U18 Indoor Championships. During the outdoor season, she won the 100m hurdles silver at the Rostock German U18 Championships and the 100m gold at the Berlin EM-Sportfest, but also competed at the Wesel German U18 Combined Events Championship in the heptathlon.
Franziska Schuster won the 100m hurdles silver at the Baku 15th European Youth Olympic Festival in 2019, where also competed in the sprint medley 1000m. In 2020, Franziska Schuster specialized entirely in hurdles. She started the season by winning the 60m hurdles gold at the Neubrandenburg German U20 Indoor Championships, as well as the 60m hurdles gold at the Dortmund NRW-Hallenmeisterschaften U20/U18 and Leverkusen Nordrhein-Hallenmeisterschaften U20. During the outdoor season, she debuted at the Braunschweig German Championships, finishing 5th in 100m hurdles. In 2021, Franziska Schuster won the 100m hurdles gold at the Koblenz German U23 Championships and earned the bronze at the Mannheim 27. Bauhaus Juniorengala. In 2024, Franziska Schuster won the 60m hurdles silver at the Leipzig German Indoor Championships. In the same event, she earned the bronze at the ISTAF Indoor Dusseldorf and the gold at the Chemnitz Inter Hallenmeeting.
