Ge Manqi (China) earned the 100m gold at the 2023 Hangzhou Asian Games. The Chinese athlete triumphed in the event after finishing in 11.23 sec, ahead of Veronica Shanti Pereira (Singapore) and Hajar Saad Saeed Saad Alkhaldi (Bahrain), who won the silver and the bronze, respectively.
Although not having the best reaction at the start, Ge Manqi overtook her opponents in the middle of the distances and finally finished on 0.04 sec ahead of the second and 0.12 sec ahead of the third in the race.
The Top 5 were completed by the Supanich Poolkerd (Thailand) and Wei Yongli (China).
In 400m event, Oluwakemi Mujidat Adekoya (Bahrain) earned the gold after finishing in 50.66 sec. Her compatriot Salwa Eid Naser won the silver with 50.92 sec, while Vallabouy Sheree Samson (Malaysia) was third with 52.58 sec.
