Funvic and Blumenau qualifies for the final play-off of the Brazilian LBF Women league

The women’s basketball teams of Funvic and Blumenau qualifies for the final play-off of the Brazilian LBF Women league. Both teams won the semi-finals with 2-0 and will face for the title.

Funvic eliminated in the semi-finals the winner from season 2017/2018, Vera Cruz, after winning the second match by 76-49. The most valuable player for the winners was Alana Goncalo with 14 points and 4 rebounds. Patty Ribeiro added 13 points, while Palmira Marcal scored 12 points. For the team of Vera Cruz, Licinara Rodrigues made 18 points and 7 rebounds, but they were not enough for her team to take something more from the match.

In the other semi-final, Blumenau eliminated Sampaio, which is the champion from season 2018/2019. Despite the result of 2-0 in the play-off, both matches were very hard for the team. The first they won with only two points advantage – 65-63. In the second match, Blumenau won by 84-79 after overtime (70-70 in regular time). Vitoria Domingos was the most valuable player for Blumenau with 22 points and 8 rebounds, while Mariana added 12 points and 6 rebounds. For the team of Sampaio, American star Katrina Pardee scored 25 points.

On the final, Funvic and Blumenau will face to crown the new Brazilian LBF Women league champion.
