Swedish cross-country skier Frida Karlsson won the start of the 20 km women’s pursuit in Oberstdorf (Germany) of the Tour de Ski circuit valid for the cross-country skiing World Cup. The 23-year-old athlete clocked 48:02.6 minutes to claim her seventh World Cup victory.
Second, as yesterday, was the Finnish skier Krista Parmakoski, who finished 14.1 seconds behind the winner.
A place on the podium was also earned by the Norwegian Tiril Udnes Weng, who, however, remained far behind with 1:28.0 minutes behind Carlson.
In the general ranking, the Norwegian Tiril Udnes Weng leads with 1059 points, followed already by Frida Karlsson with 776 points, as she overtook the American Jessie Diggins, who remained in third place with 769.
The next races of the “Tour de Ski” circuit are from January 6th to 8th in the Italian winter center of Val di Fiemme.
