Five women continental champions will take part in the European First League Team Championship in Silesia from June 23 to 25. The hosts from Poland have in the team the 100m hurdles European champion from Munich 2022 – Pia Skrzyszowska (100m hurdles)
At the last edition two years ago, Pia Skrzyszowska achieved a maximum number of points in the 100m and 100m hurdles, but now she will focus only on her crowning event.
The Dutch athlete Femke Bol also produced maximum points for the Netherlands two years ago when she claimed the 400m in a championship record of 50.37 sec, and the three-time European champion is once again in position to win.
Her most serious rival is Natalia Kaczmarek (Poland), who in 2021 won the 400m and 4x400m, and at the European Championships in Munich last year, she finished second behind Femke Bol.
The current European champions in the first league are Jessica Schilder of the Netherlands (shot put), Elina Tzengko of Greece (javelin throw) and Wilma Murto of Finland (pole vault).
