The International Ski Federation (FIS) has announced two changes to the program of the Women’s Alpine Skiing World Cup. They are imposed after the cancellation of the night slalom, which was supposed to take place in Zagreb (Croatia) on January 5.
The FIS announced that the slalom in question will take place in the Czech resort of Spindleruv Mlyn on January 28, when the giant slalom was originally scheduled. The giant slalom itself will be moved three days earlier, but to Kronplatz (Italy) rather than Spindleruv Mlyn.
Kronplatz was originally scheduled to host just one race on January 24, but now the ladies will have two starts at the circuit. Before that, they will have two back-to-back weekends of races in the speed disciplines in Saint Anton am Arlberg (Austria) and Cortina d’Ampezzo (Italy).
