European champion and record holder in the 400m hurdles, Femke Bol, finished the season in impressive fashion. The Dutch athlete won the Diamond League Final in Brussels and secured 30,000 USD in prize money and the 2024 circuit trophy. Femke Bol convincingly cruised to first place in 52.45 sec. She left behind Olympic silver medalist Anna Cockrell (USA) with 53.71 sec and Shiann Salmon (Jamaica) with 53.99 sec.
Femke Bol is the 2023 World Champion, and in the 400m, where she is the 2024 World Indoor Champion and the short track world record holder. In the 4x400m relay, she is the 2023 World Champion and the 2024 World Indoor Champion with the Dutch women’s team and the 2024 Olympic Champion with the Dutch mixed team.
Femke Bol holds the world record in the 400m short track with a time of 49.17 sec, the European record in the 400m hurdles with a time of 50.95 sec, making her the second-fastest woman of all time in the event.
In the 100-meter hurdles, the Olympic champion from Tokyo Jasmine Camacho-Quinn (Puerto Rico) won the diamond trophy, triumphing with 12.35 sec (0.4 m/sec). Nadine Visser (Netherlands) finished second with 12.54 sec, and Ackera Nugent (Jamaica) was third with 12.55 sec.
