Femke Bol starts the winter season at 400m in Metz

The European number one athlete for 2022 Femke Bol has announced that she will compete in the World Athletics Indoor Tour with a “Silver Label” on February 11 in Metz (France). There, the Dutch athlete will start in the 400m and face her training partner Anna Kielbasinska of Poland, a bronze medalist at the European Outdoor Championships in Munich.

Femke Bol, winner of three gold medals at the European Championships in Germany, will compete for her fourth victory at the tournament in Metz, and her participation there will also be preparation for the European Indoor Championships in Istanbul from March 2-5.

Femke Bol opened last year at the same event, recording a victory in the 400m in 50.71 sec.

Femke Bol is a Dutch track and field athlete who specializes in the 400m hurdles and 400m. She is the 2020 Tokyo Olympics bronze medallist in the 400m hurdles with the current European record of 52.03 sec, becoming the third-fastest woman of all time and the first Dutch Olympic medallist at the event.

Another of her training partners, Lieke Klaver, will participate in Metz in the 200m.
