The basketball team of Empoli defeated the visiting Umbertide by 76-56 (20-14, 22-16, 24-9, 10-17) in a match of the Italian Serie A2 Women championship – Group South.

Bulgarian player Katrin Stoichkova made an excellent match and finished with 14 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists. Among her teammates, Laura Manetti stood out with 16 points and 9 rebounds, and Francesca D’Angelo scored 12 points for Umbertide.
