Emma Raducanu scored 11 aces and won against Daria Snigur (Ukraine) by 2-0 (6:2, 6:2) in 79 minutes. Thus, she reached her first grass quarter final at a WTA tournament and second of the season after Stuttgart.
In the next round, Emma Raducanu will face her compatriot Francesca Jones, who eliminated Ashlyn Krueger (USA) after 2-1 (6:4, 4:6, 7:5).
In the other quarter-finals of the WTA 250 Rothesay Open, the 5th-seeded Magdalena Frech (Poland) will face 3rd-seeded Katie Boulter (UK), while Diane Parry (France) will play versus Kimberly Birrell (Australia).
The sixth-seeded Karolina Pliskova (Czech Republic) is waiting her opponent in the last quarter-final. She will face the winner between the top-seeded Ons Jabeur (Tunisia) and Linda Fruhvirtova (Czech Republic).
