Swedish biathlete Elvira Oeberg, a silver medalist in the Women’s 10km biathlon pursuit at the Beijing 2022 Olympics, described the race as one of the toughest in her career.
Elvira Oeberg, made a total of three shooting errors and finished second, winning second silver in Beijing after the sprint two days ago.
“It was a very difficult race. One of the most difficult I have participated in. The track was extremely slow, the snow was softer and it was very, very difficult. I started the race well, but on the third shot I made two mistakes, I lost confidence and I was a moment behind. I felt that my medal was slipping away, but I’m glad that I managed to turn the situation around and get together for the last shot”, said Elvira Oeberg.
Elvira Oeberg is a Swedish biathlete. She is the younger sister of Olympic champion Hanna Oeberg. Elvira won three gold medals in the youth category at the 2018 Biathlon Junior World Championships in Otepaa – in the 10 km individual, the 3×6 km relay, and the 6 km sprint respectively.
