Elena Rybakina: This final should give me new strength

Elena Rybakina is the first representative of Kazakhstan who will rank in the top ten of the world tennis rankings. This comes after Elena Rybakina’s three-set defeat to Aryna Sabalenka in the Australian Open final.

“I don’t think I’m going to feel any different tomorrow regardless of the ranking. It’s definitely going to affect the smaller tournaments, I’m definitely going to be seeded. Sometimes I’m not even going to be in the first round. There’s definitely a benefit to it, but I’m not going to I look at the rankings so much”, said Elena Rybakina.

The 23-year-old Kazakh will try “not to think about expectations” in her upcoming participation in the tournament.

“It’s normal for the confidence to rise, but I have to continue the hard work. This final should give me new energy. I’ll try not to think so much about the expectations on me. I’m sure even better results will come, if only I have no injuries”, said Elena Rybakina, who won the Wimbledon title last season.
