Elena Rybakina resumed training and prepares for the 2024 WTA Finals

The world’s number five, Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan), returned to training on the court after a long absence. Earlier, Sebastien G’s profile in social networks posted a photo of Elena Rybakina from her studies in Dubai (UAE). It shows Elena with Malian coach Ibrahim Baba Kouma.

After nearly two months away from the court, Elena Rybakina is set to return to action at the WTA Finals. The former Wimbledon champion withdrew from the Asian swing of the tour because of health issues, including a persistent back injury. It also caused her withdrawal from the US Open in August, following a victory in her opening match.

We remind that the WTA press service announced the participation of the Wimbledon 2022 champion in the 2024 WTA Finals tournament, which will be held in Riyadh (Saudi Arabia) from November 2 to 9. However, the tennis community has doubts about the possibility of Elena Rybakina participating in this tournament. The Kazakh has not been on the court since the 2024 US Open, where she withdrew in the second round of the tournament.
