The top-seeded Elena Rybakina (Kazakhstan) advanced to the quarter-finals of the WTA 500 Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open after a second-round victory against Danielle Collins (USA).

The Kazakhstani tennis player lost the first set by 4:6, but managed to make a comeback after 6:3, 6:3 to win the match after 2 hours and 18 minutes of play.

In the quarterfinals of the competition in Abu Dhabi, Elena Rybakina will play against Cristina Bucsa (Spain), who defeated Heather Watson (Great Britain) after 2-0 (7:6, 7:5).

The Russian tennis player Liudmila Samsonova also passed the second round after defeating Anhelina Kalinina (Ukraine) by 2-0 (6:1, 6:3).

The 4th-seeded Czech player Barbora Krejcikova eliminated Sara Sorribes Tormo (Spain) with 2-0 (6:2, 1:0) and the Spaniard withdrew due to injury.
