Ebba Andersson (Sweden) won the 10km freestyle interval start in Les Rousses, France at the Women’s Cross Country Skiing World Cup.
The 25-year-old Ebba Andersson covered the distance in 24:08.8 min and emphatically cruised to her second victory of the season. Second at 13.4 sec was the home team’s Delphine Claudel, who recorded the fourth World Cup podium finish in her career.
The top three were completed by the American Jessie Diggins, 20.5 sec behind the winner Ebba Andersson. Ingvild Flugstad Oestberg (Norway) remained fourth, while another American, Rosie Brennan, took the 5th position. The sixth place was for another Norwegian cross-country skier Silje Theodorsen.
In the ranking for the World Cup in cross-country skiing, the Norwegian Tiril Weng leads with 1447 points. Sweden’s Frida Karlsson is second with 1160 points, and Jessie Diggins is third with 1094 points. Ebba Andersson, who missed much of the season, is 21st with 494 points.
The standings for the Small Crystal Globe in distance starts are headed by Frida Karlsson with 686 points, ahead of Tiril Weng with 683 points and Finland’s Kerttu Niskanen with 676 points. Ebba Andersson is 10th with 494 points.
