Diana Shnaider reached the final after a straight-set victory versus Eva Lys (Germany) by 2-0 (6:3, 6:3) in 1:27 hours of play. The Russian tennis player recorded two breaks in the first set and one break in the second, reflecting all the three breakpoints of her opponent.
Diana Shnaider already has two WTA 250 title this season – Thailand Open and Bad Homburg Open presented by Engel & Volkers, as well as one WTA 125 trophy at the Trophee Clarins.
Aliaksandra Sasnovich eliminated Anna Karolina Schmiedlova (Slovakia) at the semi-finals of the WTA 250 Hungarian Grand Prix to be the second finalist in the tournament. The Belarusian tennis player won the match by 2-1 (6:3, 3:6, 7:5) in 2:49 hours of play. Thus, the Belarusian tennis player reached her first WTA final since 2022, when she played for the title of the WTA 250 Tennis in the Land in Cleveland, but lost to Liudmila Samsonova (Russia).
