The German biathlete Denise Herrmann-Wick, who won the sprint title at the biathlon world championships in Oberhof on Sunday, said she and her teammates could dominate the next few years.
Denise Herrmann-Wick, 34, added two more silver medals at the championships, one of which came in the relay, in which she partnered Vanessa Voigt, 26, and Sophia Schneider and Hanna Kebinger, 25.
“We’ve made serious progress as a team, especially in the last 2-3 years. We have to continue like that. It’s good to see that there is such a solid foundation behind me to achieve even greater success”, said Denise Herrmann-Wick.
Germany participated in the championship in Oberhof without one of its leading players – Franziska Preuss, who has health problems. In the team, however, they can count on 18-year-old Selina Grotian and 22-year-old Lisa Maria Spark.
