Dayana Yastremska eliminated Varvara Gracheva to reach the third round of Wimbledon

Dayana Yastremska (Ukraine) advanced to the third round of Wimbledon tennis tournament after a turnover versus Russian-born French tennis player Varvara Gracheva.

The Ukrainian tennis player lost the first set by 3:6, but after long exchange of breaks in the second set, where she was the only one to win a single serve game, she closed the set at 6:4 to equalize the sets. The third decisive set, started equally, but in the 9th game Varvara Gracheva broke her opponent and served for the match at 5:4. However, Dayana Yastremska returned the break and again equalized. Both players won their next serve games and reached a tiebreak, which the Ukrainian player win by 10-5.

In the next round, Dayana Yastremska will face Donna Vekic (Croatia).

In a match of qualifiers, Lulu Sun (New Zealand) defeated Yulia Starodubtseva (Ukraine) by 2-1 (4:6, 6:3, 6:2) and in the third round will face Lin Zhu (China), who eliminated Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova (Russia) by 2-0 (6:4, 6:3).
