Daryll Neita won the 200m gold at the Stockholm Diamond League

The 100m bronze medalist at the European Championships in Munich and multiple major forum medalist with Great Britain’s 4x100m relay Daryll Neita recorded a prestigious victory in the 200m at the Stockholm Diamond League. The 26-year-old sprinter won with a time of 22.50 sec (-0.6 m/s), ahead of her compatriot and world champion from Doha 2019 Dina Asher-Smith. She finished second in 22.58 sec, while Spain’s Jael Bestue came in third with 22.59 sec.

The Ivorian athletes Marie-Josee Ta Lou and Maboundou Kone completed the Top 5.

Daryll Neita is a British sprinter. In 2022, she won her first individual international medals, with bronze in the 100m at both the European Championships and Commonwealth Games. Daryll Neita claimed bronze for the 60m at the 2023 European Indoor Championships. She has won several medals as part of Great Britain 4×100 m relay teams, including Olympic bronze medals in 2016 and 2021, World Championships silver medals in 2017 and 2019, and European gold in 2018.
