Great Britain’s 4x100m World and Olympic medalist Daryll Neita claimed an individual victory in the 100m at the Doha Diamond League. The 27-year-old British athlete reached the success in the Qatari capital with 10.98 sec (2.0 m/sec). She left behind two American sprinters Tamari Davis, who finished second with 10.99 sec, and Celera Barnes, who finished third with 11.02 sec.
Daryll Neita is a British sprinter. In 2022, she won her first individual international medals, with bronze in the 100m at both the European Championships and Commonwealth Games. Daryll Neita claimed bronze for the 60m at the 2023 European Indoor Championships.
In the women’s 100m hurdles, the first place was won by Ditaji Kambundji (Switzerland) with 12.49 sec (1.7 m/sec). She prevailed literally in the last meters and was only 2 hundredths away from her own European record for girls U23.
Tonea Marshall (USA) was second with 12.51 sec, and the European champion Pia Skrzyszowska (Poland) was third with 12.53 sec.
