Danielle Williams was the fastest in 100m hurdles at the Zurich Diamond League

The world champion Danielle Williams was the fastest in 100m hurdles at the Zurich Diamond League, overtaking the American Alaysha Johnson, Kendra Harrison and Tia Joes.

The Jamaican track and field athlete finished in 12.54 sec, just 0.04 sec faster that the silver medalist from the competition Alaysha Johnson, who finished in 12.58 sec. Kendra Harrison earned the bronze with 12.59 sec, while Tia Joes and Megan Tapper (Jamaica) remained out of the medals zone.

Danielle Williams is a Jamaican track and field athlete specializing in the 100m hurdles. She is best known for winning gold medals at the 2015 World Championships and at the 2023 World Championships. In addition, she won two medals at Summer Universiades, bronze in 2013 and gold in 2015, and represented her country at the 2013 World Championships. She is also 2022 Diamond League gold medalist.

Williams has personal bests of 12.32 sec in the 100m hurdles (2019) and 7.29 sec in the 60m hurdles (2022).
