Izabela Stimac is a Croatian volleyball player, who plays as libero for French club Volero Le Cannet and the Croatian national team. She is a 2022 Zadar FIVB Challenger Cup gold medalist with the national team, as well as a CEV Cup bronze medalist with the volleyball club HAOK Mladost.
Izabela Stimac was born on November 12, 2000, in Zagreb, Croatia. She started in volleyball at an early age and showed her talent at school. She started playing in the junior academy of HAOK Mladost.
Izabela Stimac started playing professionally in 2018. She started in the senior club HAOK Mladost in the 2018/2019 season but was moved to the second team to gain more experience at the Croatian PRVA League. In 2020, she returned to the main team of HAOK Mladost, where played for three seasons.
In 2020/2021, her team made a double in Croatia, winning the Croatian League and Croatian Cup. They also finished 9th in the CEV Cup. During the next season, Izabela Stimac and HAOK Mladost won again the Croatian League, where she was awarded the Best Libero, and won the bronze at the CEV Cup, where she scored 39.00 ppg. During the season, she was called for the senior Croatian national volleyball team, winning a bronze at the European Golden League 2022 and a gold at the FIVB Challenger Cup 2022. She also played at the Mediterranean Games 2022 and World Championships 2022.
In 2022/2023, Izabela Stimac and HAOK Mladost made another double in Croatia, winning the Croatian League and Croatian Cup. She was awarded the Best receiver at the Croatian League. During the season, the team also won the bronze at MEVZA 2022/23 and played in the Champions League and CEV Cup. Internationally, Izabela Stimac p[layed with the national team at the Volleyball Nations League.
Izabela Stimac signed with the French club Volero Le Cannet in 2023 to play in the French Ligue A. She quickly proved to be one of the key players in the squad.
Izabela Stimac is a talented volleyball player, who will be the back of the Croatian national team and will write her name in the European volleyball history.
