Cris Cyborg revealed why she lost to Amanda Nunes at UFC 232

Former UFC featherweight competitor Cris Cyborg has opened up about why she lost her 2018 fight to Amanda Nunes.

The UFC 232’s co-main event was the clash of two of the most dangerous and attractive female MMA fighters today. Few expected the fight to last just 51 seconds, but Amanda Nunes shocked everyone when she hit Cris Cyborg furiously and knocked her out.

Years later, Cristiane Justino Venancio, known as Cris Cyborg, shared her perspective on that loss.

“There was a lot of emotion about being suspended from the UFC for 9 months. I also changed my manager. Then I found out that the event was moved from Las Vegas to Los Angeles”, said Cris Cyborg. “All these emotions caused me to be overly aggressive and abandon my strategy. However, this fight made me a better fighter and woman”, added she.

Cris Cyborg currently competes in Bellator, where she became the featherweight champion by knocking out Julia Budd. She then defended her title 4 times.
