The third-seeded Cori Coco Gauff (USA) lost to Caroline Garcia (France) in the Round of 16 at the WTA 1000 Miami Open. The American tennis talent lost by 1-2 (3:6, 6:1, 2:6) and said that will focus on her preparations on the clay court season and the second the year Grand Slam tournament in Paris.
“I’m the type of person that every loss weighs on me, especially one like today, when I felt I could have done better and that I was in control of the match”, said the 20-year-old Cori Coco Gauff. “Honestly, if nothing else, it helps to be home longer, so I’m just going to go home and sleep in my own bed.
