Connecticut Sun is the second finalist in the WNBA playoff

Connecticut Sun is the second finalist in the WNBA playoff after defeating Chicago Sky by 72-63 (24:16, 16:24, 8-18, 24-5) in the fifth semi-finals. The dramatic match had several turnovers and the team of Connecticut Sun won only in the last quarter. However, they showed more experience and character to win the match.

The first quarter was totally for the Connecticut Sun, who took a comfortable lead of 8 points. However, Chicago Sky equalized the score after the end of the first half. They even took a very strong advantage after winning the third quarter with 10 points lead. However, a strong last spring of the Connecticut Sun brought them the victory and they qualified for the WNBA playoff finals.

DeWanna Bonner was the most valuable player for Connecticut Sun with 15 pts, 9 rebs and 5 asts. Jonquel Jones and Natisha Hiedeman added 15 and 14 pts, respectively, for the success.

For Chicago Sky, the most effective was Kahleah Copper with 22 pts, 2 rebs and 2 asts. Emma Meesseman and Courtney Michelle Vandersloot added 14 and 12 pts, respectively.

In the final Connecticut Sun will face Las Vegas Aces. The first WNBA final playoff is on September 11.
