Chelsea Women is the 2022/2023 England WSL champion

Chelsea Women is the new England WSL champion after fantastic final sprint of the season with 7 consecutive victories. The Emma Hayes-led team won its 4th consecutive Women’s Super League title and made a double in the season was earlier this month also triumphed with the FA Cup.

In the last round of the England Women’s Super League, Chelsea Women defeated Reading women by 3-0 after the goals of Samantha Kerr (18′ and 88′) and Guro Reiten (42′).

Since Emma Hayes is on the head of the team, for the 11 years Chelsea Women won 13 major titles.

Manchester United WFC remains second in the standings, just 2 points behind the winners. In their last match, Manchester United WFC defeated Liverpool as a visitor by 1-0 after a goal of Lucia Garcia Cordoba in the 72nd minute.

Manchester City WFC defeated Everton WFC at home by 3-2. Goals for Manchester City WFC scored Khadija Shaw (51′ and 69′) and Lauren Hemp (60′), while for Everton WFC scored Lucy Hope (79′) and Leonie Maier (90′).

Arsenal WFC served the big surprise of the round, losing to Aston Villa WFC at home by 0-2 after the goals of Rachel Daly (45′) and Alisha Lehmann (49′).

Leicester City WFC defeated Brighton & Hove Albion WFC by 1-0, while West Ham United Women and Tottenham Hotspur Women made a 2-2 draw.
