On the route to the semi-finals, Tatjana Maria had not lost a set defeating Katrina Scott (USA) and Carolina Alves (Brazil).

Tatjana Maria will face Francesca Jones (UK) in the semi-finals. The 22-year-old British player, who is WTA No 817, beat the 6th-seeded Laura Pigossi (Brazil) by 2-0 (6:4, 6:2).

The American player Peyton Stearns also advanced to the semi-finals after success over Tamara Zidanšek (Slovenia) by 2-1 (6:3, 2:6, 6:2). The American’s next opponent is the fourth-seeded Russian tennis player Kamilla Rakhimova, who defeated the Sara Sorribes Tormo (Spain) by 2-0 (6:4, 7:5).
