Caty McNally/Taylor Townsend vs Barbora Krejcikova/Katerina Siniakova at the doubles final at the US Open 2022

Americans Caty McNally and Taylor Townsend reached the women’s doubles final at the US Open 2022.

In the second semi-final, they beat 12th-seeded Storm Sanders of Australia and Caroline Dolehide of the US with 2-1 (1:6, 6:3, 6:30 in an hour and 36 minutes of play.

In the match for the trophy in New York, they will face the third-seeded Czechs Barbora Krejcikova and Katerina Siniakova.

For Caty McNally, reaching the doubles final is the second in a row. Last year, she lost the battle for the title with her partner Cori “Coco” Gauff after defeats by Samantha Stosur (Australia) and Zhang Shuai (China). Taylor Townsend returned to the court this year after becoming a mother in March 2021.
