Former UFC title contender Cat Zingano has dropped out of her upcoming fight for Bellator. The 39-year-old American had to fight Pam Sorenson at the Bellator 276 in Missouri next weekend.
Cat Zingano expected to fight for the title, but instead, Bellator gave her a fight with Pam Sorenson. However, the fight was canceled due to an injury. It is not yet clear when Cat Zingano will return in the Octagon.
Bellator was previously targeting a title fight between Cat Zingano and current featherweight champion Cris Cyborg, but Cyborg accused Zingano of not accepting while Zingano accused Cyborg of refusing to take a drug test.
Bellator 276 will take place on March 12 at the Family Arena in St. Louis, Missouri.
