Caroline Garcia won the title at the WTA 250 Poland Open

French tennis player Caroline Garcia prevailed over Romanian Ana Bogdan by 2-0 (6:4, 6:1) and won the ninth title ин her career, triumphing at the WTA 250 Poland Open in Warsaw. The fifth-seeded Caroline Garcia needed an hour and 21 minutes to win the match versus Ana Bogdan, who was playing her first WTA final.

The winner was confident on her serve, although she conceded two breaks in the first set. In the first part, although at one point she went through a 5:4 game, her 3:0 lead was decisive. Ana Bogdan tried to get back into the match at 5:4, but another powerful return from Caroline Garcia ensured her success.

In the second set, the pattern of play was preserved after he literally fired another big winner-return and made the first breakthrough for 3:1. From that point on, Caroline Garcia easily cruised to the title, winning the last five games of the match.

A former world’s No 4, Caroline Garcia slipped to world’s No 79 in May, which is her lowest ranking since 2014. But since then she has picked up the pace and will obviously try to get back to the best. Today’s success in the final in the Polish capital is the 18th of the last 21 matches played.

Caroline Garcia’s renaissance began with winning the title at WTA 250 Bad Homburg Open, her first in three years, and went through the elimination of the world’s number one Iga Swiatek at the WTA 250 Poland Open, which finished today.
