Caroline Garcia advanced to the semifinals of the WTA 500 Guadalajara Open

The fourth-seeded Caroline Garcia (France) advanced to the semifinals of the WTA 500 Guadalajara Open hard courts women’s tennis tournament with a prize money of 922,573 USD.

Caroline Garcia won the quarter-finals match after withdrew of the sixth-seeded Marie Bouzkova (Czech Republic) due to injury.

In the semifinals, the French tennis player will face the fifth-seeded Magdalena Frech (Poland), who eliminated Marina Stakusic (Canada) after 2-0 (6:4, 6:3).

In the other semi-final Camila Osorio (Colombia) will face Olivia Gadecki (Australia).

Olivia Gadecki defeated Martina Trevisan (Italy)by 2-1 (6:2, 3:6, 6:1), and Camila Osorio eliminated Kamilla Rakhimova after 2-0 (7:6, 6:2).

Camila Osorio is the first Colombian woman to reach the semi-finals of a WTA 500 tournament. She is just two wins away from a second title of the season after becoming champion in front of her home crowd in Bogota in April.
