Carla Esparza returns to the Octagon at the end of the year

The current and two-time UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion Carla Esparza has set her timetable for her return to the Octagon.

Ever since she won the UFC Strawweight title in May, fans have been anxious to hear when the champion will return. Immediately after her victory over Rose Namajunas, there were rumors of who could be the next challenger for the new champion.

Carla Esparza had to fend for herself. She had some ongoing issues to deal with before she could set up her next fight. It looks like she did just that according to a post on her social media.

“I started physical therapy yesterday. The hardest part for fighters is the rest/treatment when your doctors tell you because mentally we are so strong that we can overcome the pain”, wrote Carla Esparza in social networks. “We need to heal so we can get back to 100%. I’m waiting for the green light from a physical therapist. I want to fight in November or December”, added Carla Esparza.

Dana White wants Weili Zhang to be Carla Esparza’s next opponent. It seems that such a battle will take place at the end of the year.

Carla Esparza is the current and two-time UFC Women’s Strawweight Champion. Her personal MMA record is 19-6-0 (W-L-D).
