She advanced to this stage of the prestigious grass tournament, which is an immediate heat-up for the Wimbledon, after retiring of Jelena Ostapenko (Latvia) in the second set after the Italian won the first by 7:6 by tiebreak.
Thus, Camila Giorgi will face the 9th-seeded Daria Kasatkina (Russia), who also reached this stage after retiring of her opponent, the 2nd-seeded Caroline Garcia (France), in the second set at result 1-0 (6:2, 2:1).
Cori Coco Gauff (USA) also reached the semi-finals after eliminating her 3rd-seeded compatriot Jessica Pegula by 2-0 (6:3, 6:3) in a match that lasted only 70 minutes.
In the semi-finals, Cori Coco Gauff will face another American player – Madison Keys, who defeated Petra Martic (Croatia) by 2-0 (6:4, 6:1) in 1:21 hours.
