Caitlin Clark was named WNBA Rookie of the Year

The USA-Canada Women’s National Basketball Association sensation Caitlin Clark won the Rookie of the Year award. The honor for the 22-year-old American basketball player was fully expected after she broke a number of records during her first season with the Indiana Fever.

The guard set the WNBA single-season assists record with 337 and 19 in a single game. She also became the first player in league history to record two triple-doubles in her rookie season and her 19.2 points per game average is a record for a player in her first professional season.

The Most Valuable Player award goes to Las Vegas Aces center A’ja Wilson, who becomes the MVP for the third time in her career after 2020 and 2022.

Defensive Player of the Year honors went to Minnesota Lynx’s Napheesa Collier, while Connecticut Sun’s Dijonai Carrington was named Most Improved Player.
