Bulgaria defeated Romania by 3-2 at the European Women’s Volleyball Championship

Volleyball players from the Bulgarian national team achieved their third victory at the European Women’s Volleyball Championship. the Bulgarian players defeated Romania very hard and dramatically 3-2 (26:24, 18:25, 25:17, 22:25, 15:12) in their fourth match in the Group B of the championship.

Thus, the Bulgarian volleyball players remained firmly in second place in the temporary ranking in the group with 3 wins, 1 loss and 8 points. Today, Bulgaria will play its last Group B match against the Swiss team.

On the other hand, it was the last game for Romania, who finished with 2 wins, 3 losses and 7 points. At the moment, the team is 3rd in the standings, and they will surely advance to the Round of 16 of the championship.

In the other match from the group, Italy smashed Bosnia & Herzegovina by 3-0 (25:21, 25:19, 25:17) and is a leader with full asset of 12 points (4 wins).

In Group A of the European Women’s Volleyball Championship, Slovenia defeated Hungary by 3-0 (25:19, 25:18, 25:16), but both teams are in the bottom of the standings. Meanwhile, Poland won hardly versus Belgium by 3-0 (25:22, 25:23, 25:21) and took the second position with 9 points (4 wins and 1 loss).

Azerbaijan defeated Greece in the 4th match in Group C by 3-2 (22:25, 25:19, 27:29, 25:18, 15:12) and still keeps chances to advance for the Round of 16, occupying the 3rd position in the group. Czech Republic brought the surprise in the group, overturning Germany by 3-2 (22:25, 23:25, 26:24, 25:20, 28:16) and thus climbed to 4th position in the group. Leader is Turkey with 9points (3 wins), followed by Germany 7 points (2 wins and 2 losses).

In group D, the Netherlands defeated France by 3-1 (25:23, 27:25, 21:25, 26:24), while Slovakia defeated Estonia by 3-1 (24:26, 26:24, 25:9, 25:18).
