Brooke Andersen moved into third place in the all-time hammer throw world rankings

World champion Brooke Andersen moved into third place in the all-time world rankings in the hammer throw after winning a competition in Charlottesville (USA) with 79.80 m.

The 27-year-old American improved her previous personal record by 78 cm. Only world record holder Anita Wlodarczyk and the American athlete DeAnna Price have better achievements than Brooke Andersen.

Brooke Andersen is an American track and field athlete known for throwing events. Her personal best in weight throw is 25.07 m. On July 17, 2022, at the World Championships in Eugene, Oregon, Brooke Andersen won the gold medal with a hammer throw of 78.96 m

Jamaican sprint star Shericka Jackson won the 100ms with 10.82 sec (-0.1 m/s). Her compatriot Natasha Morrison finished second with 11.09 sec, and third was the representative of the Bahamas, Anthonique Strachan, with 11.11 sec.
