Brooke Andersen moved into third place in the all-time hammer throw world rankings

World champion Brooke Andersen moved into third place in the all-time world rankings in the hammer throw after winning a competition in Charlottesville (USA) with 79.80 m.

The 27-year-old American improved her previous personal record by 78 cm. Only world record holder Anita Wlodarczyk and the American athlete DeAnna Price have better achievements than Brooke Andersen.

Jamaican sprint star Shericka Jackson won the 100ms with 10.82 sec (-0.1 m/s). Her compatriot Natasha Morrison finished second with 11.09 sec, and third was the representative of the Bahamas, Anthonique Strachan, with 11.11 sec.
