Rosamaria Montibeller is a Brazilian volleyball player, who plays as an opposite spiker for the Italian club E-Work Busto Arsizio. She won the silver medal with the Brazilian national volleyball team at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. She was also part of the Brazil women’s national volleyball team that won silver at the 2015 Pan American Games in Toronto, Canada.
Rosamaria Montibeller was born on April 9, 1994, in Nova Trento, Santa Catarina, Brazil. She started playing volleyball at the age of nine during a local youth project.
Rosamaria Montibeller started her career in 2010 for the local club Volei Nova Trento, but shortly after that moved to ABEL Moda Volei.
She made her debut in the Brazilian Superliga A in 2011 with the team Sao Cristovao/Sao Caetano. In the 2012/103 season, Rosamaria Montibeller won the Liga Nacional and finished 5th in the Paulista Championship and 9th in Brazilian Superliga A. She was part of the Brazilian side that emerged as champions of the 2012 Women’s Junior South American Volleyball Championship.
In 2013, she signed with Volei Amil/Campinas. With the team, she finished third in the Brazilian Cup and Paulista Championship, as well as 4th in the Brazilian Superliga A.
The next season she signed with EC Pinheiros winning the Brazilian Cup in 2013/2014.
Rosamaria Montibeller signed with Camponesa/Minas in 2015. In her maiden season with the team, they were the runner-up at the Mineiro Championship and finished third at the Brazilian Superliga A and Brazilian Cup. She captained Brazil’s U23 team, which won the 2015 FIVB Volleyball Women’s U23 World Championship. In the next season, the volleyball team Camponesa/Minas won Superliga Metropolitana and was runner-up at the Brazilian Cup. In the 2017/2018 season, Rosamaria Montibeller and Camponesa/Minas made a fantastic performance winning Gatarode Cup, Mineiro Championship, as well as the South American Club Championship. They were runner-up at the Brazilian Supercup and third at the Brazilian Cup and Brazilian Superliga. She also competed at the 2017 FIVB Volleyball World Grand Prix where Brazil defeated Italy and win the competition.
In 2018, she moved to Dentil/Praia Clube on a one-year contract. With the club, she won Brazilian Supercup and finished second in the Brazilian Cup, Brazilian Superliga, Mineiro Championship, and South American Club Championship.
She played for the Brazilian national volleyball team at the 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s Nations League and 2018 FIVB Volleyball Women’s World Championship, where Brazil finished 4th and 7th, respectively.
In 2019, Rosamaria Montibeller made an international transfer and moved to Italy to play for Bartoccini Fortinfissi Perugia and after just one season moved to VBC Epiu Casalmaggiore.
In 2021, she signed with Igor Gorgonzola Novara to help the team to finish the season 2021/2022 as runner-up at the Italian Cup and Italian Supercup, third in Italian Serie A1, as well as 9th in the Champions League. She was also selected to the national squad to compete in the women’s volleyball tournament at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics, winning the silver.
In 2022, Rosamaria Montibeller moved to E-Work Busto Arsizio.
