Maiara Basso is a Brazilian volleyball player, competing for the team of Sesi Volei Bauru. She is the gold medalist from the 2011 South American Championship U17 and the silver medalist from the 2015 Women’s World Championships U20 with Brazilian youth national teams.
Maiara Basso as born on March 1, 1996, in Palotina, Brazil. She started in volleyball at school, showing great abilities and skills. She was called at the Brazilian U17 national team, winning the South American Championship U17 in 2011.
Maiara Basso made her professional volleyball debut in 2014 for AABB Cascavel in Brazilian Superliga B. However, she quickly showed that this level is too low for her and transferred to Camponesa/Minas. In the same season, she was second in the Brazilian Superliga and won the silver medal at the 2015 Women’s World Championships U20. Moreover, the team was second in the Mineiro Championship.
In 2015/2016, the team won the bronze in the Brazilian Superliga and Brazilian Cup. During the same season, she played on load in the team Minas Náutico.
In 2016, Maiara Basso signed with BRH-Sulflex/Clube Curitibano to play in Brazilian Superliga B.
In 2017, she moved to Sao Jose dos Pinhais/AIEL, finishing 3rd in the Women’s Brazilian Superliga B and 2nd in the Paranaense Championship.
Maiara Basso was transferred to the German volleyball club VfB Suhl Lotto Thuringen in 2018. The team finished 5th in the German Cup and 9th in the German Bundesliga.
Unfortunately, the Brazilian volleyball player did not remain in the club and again returned to her homeland to play for Asa Velei/Valinhos to play in the Brazilian Superliga. The season was disturbed by the coronavirus pandemic and she had just a few matches on the team.
In 2020, Maiara Basso signed with EC Pinheiros. During her only season in the team, they finished 9th in the Brazilian Superliga, 5th in Brazilian Cup, and 4th in Paulista Championship.
Maiara Basso again moved to Europe in 2021, this time transferred to France to play for the Beziers Volley. With the club, she won the silver at the French Supercup and the bronze at the French Cup. The team also played in the Champions League but finished only 11th.
In 2022, Maiara Basso returned to Brazil to play one season for Barueri Volleyball Club. The team finished the season 5th at the Brazilian Cup and 9th in the Brazilian Superliga.
Maiara Basso moved to Sesi Volei Bauru in 2023, to play for the reining Brazilian Supercup champion.
