Jaqueline Maria Pereira de Carvalho Endres, or just Jaqueline Carvalho, was born on December 31, 1983, in Recife, Brazil. She started volleyball at the age of 11, joining in 1996 for Recife Volei and was one of the most prominent Brazilian youth players. She was awarded the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of the 2001 FIVB U20 World Championship.

She returned to volleyball only in 2002, but due to recovery missed most of the major championships until 2004.
At the end of 2004, already recovered, but without playing rhythm, Jaqueline Carvalho transferred to a club in Rio de Janeiro, Rexona/Ades. The accusation stemmed from an examination taken during the finals of the Italian championship, the previous month. She was preventively suspended for 60 days. During this period, there were hearings to clarify the fact, and the athlete used as a defense the fact that she had taken a tea for cellulite, which had the substance sibutramine, prohibited for athletes. In the first decision of the judgment, a punishment of 9 months was given to Jaqueline Carvalho, which meant the absence of the athlete in most of the competitions in 2008 and the return on the eve of the Olympic Games in Beijing 2008. However, after a new assessment on the penalty her ban was reduced from 9 months to 3 months and Jaqueline Carvalho had already been suspended since July.
