The Brazil women’s volleyball team, who is Tokyo 2020 Olympics runner-up, has secured a place at the Paris 2024 Olympics.

Selecao managed to defeat the hosts from Japan with 3-2 (25:21, 22:25, 27:25, 15:25, 15:10) in front of 10,213 spectators in Tokyo in a head-to-head clash to determine the second team from the Group B, who will win an Olympic quota.

The Brazil women’s volleyball team led with 1-0 and 2-1, but the Japanese women managed to equalize to 2-2. In the decisive tiebreak, the tie remained at 10:10. A great forehand run by Priscila Daroit forced the Japanese women into mistakes and Brazil won the tiebreaker 15:10.
