Brazil women’s volleyball recorded their third consecutive victory

The two-time Olympic champions from Brazil recorded their third consecutive victory in the volleyball tournament of the Tokyo 2020 Games. The team led by Ze Roberto (Jose Roberto Guimaraes) definitely prevailed over the hosts from Japan with 3-0 (25:16, 25:18, 26:24) in their third match from Group A of the Olympics.

Thus, “Celesao” is in second place in the standings in the group with 8 points after 3 wins from 3 matches, behind the world champion Serbia, which has also 9 points. Both teams can already be considered safe quarter-finalists. Japan is 4th with 1 win, 2 losses, and 3 points, keeping the chances to move forward. In its last matches, Brazil will play with Serbia in a direct battle for the first place, while the Japanese will face the Republic of Korea. The matches are on Saturday (July 31).
