The two-time Olympic champion Brazil finished unbeaten in the group stage of the women’s volleyball tournament in Tokyo 2020 – 5 wins of 5 matches. The team led by Ze Roberto took the outsider Kenya with 3-0 (25:10, 25:16, 25:8) in their last match of Group A of the Olympics.

Thus, Brazil became the clear winner in the group with 5 wins from 5 matches and 14 points. Thus, in the quarter-finals, Brazil will play the 4th of the other Group B – the team of the Russian Olympic Committee, which today ended in the group stage with a dramatic loss to Turkey with a 2-3.

Kenya, on the other hand, finished in last 6th place without a single win, point, or even game, dropping out of the Olympics.

The most useful for the Brazilians was Ana Carolina da Silva with 12 points (2 blocks, 2 aces, and 75% efficiency in attack) for the victory.

For the Kenyan team, Sharon Chepchumba finished with only 8 points.
